Penn Carnage II Spinning Rods are super light and super powerful. Designed to be used with braided fishing line, these rods can handle the extra strain that braided lines have the ability to create. New SLS3 blank construction provide a very thin diameter blank which makes for a smaller and lighter rod overall. Using inner and outer spiral wrap layers of carbon fiber, SLS3 construction sandwiches middle layers of alternating longitudinal carbon and glass. This helps to maintain a round cross section in the blanks when under load which helps the blank handle higher loads. All of this helps to deliver a strong, balanced, and thin rod blank.
